We operate on core guiding principles without wavering or apology. Why? Because it is the right thing to do, and that dedication is what every Client deserves.

We are uncompromisingly opposed to collectivist economic systems because they systematically destroy accountability, individual merit, and contract integrity. Our opposition is absolute - those systems are fundamentally incompatible with any structure that rewards responsibility, discipline, and individual excellence.
Better Insurance is designed for open-market economies with strong contract enforcement, independent regulatory institutions, and behavioral accountability.
It is not compatible with state-controlled or collectivized financial systems. Therefore, we will not operate in those jurisdictions.

We have Zero Tolerance policies for the following:
1. Driving Under the Influence (Includes alcohol, marijuana, prescription drugs, or any other mind-altering substance that impairs one's ability to react effectively to driving conditions)

If it alters your mindset, it is inappropriate for you to drive impaired on the road and put other people at risk.

Consequently, we will not insure those who make poor choices, those who make excuses for their poor choices, or those who are dependent on chemical influences daily - regardless of legality or politicization.

All addictions are choices (not diseases), and we will not put everyone else's financial benefits at risk because a person chooses to remain in their bad decisions rather than fixing the problem.

We will give people a second chance, but that chance begins with their commitment to sobriety and an unwavering dedication to being better.

Forgiveness without repentance is useless. If you haven't changed your ways yet, there is nothing we will do for you until you make the necessary changes to your life, starting with the elimination of the habits and excuses others have enabled you to adopt as a way of life.
Our Standard: You are eligible for Better Insurance after completion of 5 years from the date of your last DUI.

Waivers may be granted by exception, but the case must be compelling, and we operate without tolerance or excuse on this topic.

Make better choices - not excuses.

If already a Client, we will underwrite your first mistake. A second DUI is not a mistake, and will result in immediate termination of your contract with us. Don't be dumb.
2. Lying

Lying is without honor and constitutes fraud when dealing with contracts and money.

Small lies are warning indicators of more damaging dishonor - if someone lies about little things, they will lie about bigger things.

Fraud through deception or omission (lying) is a material breach of contract and disqualifies eligibility as a Better Insurance Client.
​Our Standard: Truth is required in every detail.

There is no such thing as 'your truth'. There is only the truth, and how near or far you are from it.

Dishonor voids protection.
-
Mistakes can be fixed. Lies are irreversible - once trust is lost, it will never be regained to the same stature and credibility the liar once had.

Even if you make a horrible mistake, we can deal with that. What we won't deal with is lying.

Tell the truth - even if it hurts - and then focus on the remedy rather than dwelling on the catastrophe.
3. Playing the Victim

Professional victimhood and entitlement mentalities are spiritual and mental defects that prohibit honorable, virtuous, principled living.

Excuse‑making, excessive claims, and victimhood drain value from disciplined Client benefits, and will not be tolerated.

Those who thrive on grievance disqualify themselves from civilized humanity in general, and from covenant protections with Better Insurance specifically.

We do not tolerate professional victims amongst our Better Insurance Mutual family.
Our Standard: Discipline and responsibility are required.

Victimhood voids eligibility and our relationship with you.
-
Seeking windfall damages because you can't live honorably will be grounds for contract termination and permanent barment from Better Insurance membership or benefits.

Using the services of ambulance-chasing lawyers will also void our relationship with you.

We can't tell you what to do, but we can and will impose the proper punitive response for those who look to get over in life at the expense of everyone else.
4. Grifting and Exploitation

Grifting is the art of pretending to be legitimate while siphoning value from others.

It includes inflated claims, staged losses, exaggerated damages, and any attempt to game the system for personal gain.

Grifters often wear a mask of virtue - but behind it is theft. They are pretenders and posers - scratch a lie, find a thief.

Principle over profit. If you exploit an honor-based covenant, you are the enemy of it.

These principles apply to vendors, employees, contractors, partners, and Clients alike.
​Our Standard: Claims, refunds, and benefits for good drivers are earned by accountability and discipline, not entitlement and manipulation.

We do not subsidize manipulation, exaggeration, or opportunism.

If you file a claim that smells like a hustle, expect scrutiny and penalties, not sympathy.

If you weaponize dishonor through legal theatrics, staged hardship, or emotional manipulation, you will be barred permanently.

The covenant of merit-based, honor-bound auto insurance is a shield for the disciplined - not a buffet for the clever scumbag. Grifters are not welcome. When we find you, you're done.
5. False Accusations, Vendor Defamation, and Bad-Faith Claims

Better Insurance does not tolerate Clients who lie about vendors, fabricate complaints, exaggerate misconduct, or attempt to weaponize claims processes to punish service providers dishonestly.

Vendors are not disposable tools. They are accountable professionals operating under documented standards and contractual obligations. False allegations against them are not “consumer advocacy” - they are fraud.

Attempts to damage a vendor’s reputation through deception, omission, exaggeration, or coordinated complaint activity constitute material dishonor and contractual breach.

If you lie about a vendor, you are no longer eligible to participate in an honor-based system.

Our Standard: Truth is required in every interaction - including disputes.

All vendor complaints are investigated against invoices, service records, timestamps, and objective evidence.

Claims or complaints found to be false, exaggerated, retaliatory, or fabricated will result in immediate termination of the Client relationship.

Clients who knowingly submit false accusations will be permanently barred from Better Insurance services and benefits.

We reserve the right to document and disclose bad-faith conduct when necessary to protect vendors and the integrity of the network.
Mistakes can be corrected. Dishonest accusations cannot.
If you have a legitimate issue, we will address it.
If you attempt to destroy a vendor's reputation or character without just cause or for fraudulent means, you will be permanently removed as a Client, and all benefits forfeited per the material breach clause in your contract.

​Taking offense to simple truth is the first admission of guilt. If you are offended by any of these declarations, that means you are struggling with your own convictions of being wrong. Fix you first.

If you are unwilling to meet these standards, stop here. We don't need or want everybody - the only people that matter are those who live honorably and virtuously. Good people should have an advantage over bad people in every aspect of this life. That's what this company believes and represents. Those who do not agree need not apply.
